It’s not bad. I grew up with the Maple Leafs. Since I come from the GTA area. Then moved out to California. Then actually tearstd rooting for the home town Ducks. I try to follow all of hockey. But, the Ducks and Leafs are the teams I find myself looking into and following the closest. So dont worry just enjoy hockey and your teams!References :

well the ducks were on a tear ever since brian burke was on a fire sale mind you the calgary flmaes are a very strong team..they can shut down the opponent..their defence is incredible they only thing is..their offense is lack lustre right now but..i will say calgary in 6..this series will be hard fought selanne wont go down without a fight[]

I’ve got respect for Detroit since it was where gtares like Gordie Howe and Stevie Y. played but Vancouver > Detroit when it comes to being a hockey town. Canucks fans stay up til 1am on a WEDNESDAY because the game isn’t over yet the Canucks are always front page on our newspapers during the playoffs regardless of what’s going on. Ask any player in the NHL which building is the loudest.

I’m not sure if i can agree. The last two times the Wings won the Stanley Cup it took us far too long to get home because I iivvdly remember cars just cruising around honking horns waving Red Wings flags, etc.You mention the 1am game. Great game, but perhaps the Wings could just get it done in shorter time?Best of luck to you and your Canucks. I think we’ll have a nice little rivalry going on should the two teams meet

I’m all for a rebuild … but I just hope all the people calling for one realize it is going to mean at least a few years of bottomdwelling (yes … potentially even lower than 11th in the west!). Look at NYI … they have been ‘rebuilding’ for a decade now, EDM didn’t show much improvement from last year and have sucked for several years now. On the other hand, CHI turned it around after about 4 years of being terrible, PHI after about two or three years. FLA sucked for a decade and rebuilt through lots of trades and free agents and they are going to make the playoffs this year (but probably wouldn’t if they were in the West). Bottomline, whatever the Flames do, they have to do something to stop from morphing into the Western version of the Leafs and the Flames fans need to brace themselves for anywhere from 3 (optimistic) to 10 (pesimistic) more years of bad non-playoff hockey.
