Lack of character, lack of effort and abundance of too many veteran players who are too stuck in their ways that they can’t play Coach Sutter #3′s system.

I’d trade Stajan and Hagman, because while you’d think no one wants to take on those two players, Phoenix is $13M below the cap. They get two serviceable NHL players, we get younger.

I have tried to give Rob Kerr a chance, but man does he ever suck!! BORING! I miss Peter Lobardious. He had such passion for hockey and was so enthusiastic he made even the boring games enjoyable. This Rob guy puts me to sleep, and he’s not at all pleasing to look at….he definitely has a face for radio as they say! C’mon Sportsnet, ADMIT that you made a MISTAKE and BRING BACK Peter.

Kipper is the best, good to see he is in fine form this year, b/c we can’t afford any gimmies this year.

Also great to see Horak getting a chance and excelling. I started thinking last year, it would sure be nice if a Krecji (BOS) or Nik Backstrom (WASH) type playmaker could emerge from one of our drafts (or the Rangers har har) and take over as a top centre. Not that Horak is anywhere near being a top line centre, but it’s really encouraging to see young guys get a chance on this team and succeed. I doubt Horak would still be here if Darryl was running the show. Would be nice to see a couple of young guys every year get that chance. WOuld also like to see what Nemisz, Byron and Bancks get a shot this year too.

Stajan hasn’t been that bad so far this year, but it looks like the only way he will ever get back in is a rash of injuries to other forwards. So all we have to show for the Phaneuf panic trade now is: Stajan, Hagman, Babchuck (via White trade) and Paul Byron (via Kotalik dump). Three healthy scratches and an minor league prospect. Ouch.

I have been a FLAMES fan for many, many years and would not be sorry to see some of these high priced players moved in a blockbuster deal, ie. M. Stajan, O. Jokinen and J. Bowmeester. We didn’t make the playoffs the past two seasons. A decent move of one or all of the players couldn’t hurt.

I am so disappointed. Yah, yah..get used to it… but I so enjoyed Loubardias and his style. Rob Kerr is a great radio guy, and so far, listening to Colarado and the Flames tonight – the Calgary team is as frustrating to “listen to” as to watch

…Peter – we miss you. man!
