What’s going on? Injuries were not part of the plan of losing! The lack of skill in the game of ice hockey is supposed to be the reason why we’re fighting for last!
The Flames will be without their captain and top scoring defenceman this season, Mark Giordano, for six to eight weeks after he suffered a broken ankle. Giordano, 29, has two goals and nine points in eight games this season. He hasn’t played since Oct. 21 but the Flames had been vague about the injury until Tuesday.
Flames forward Lee Stempniak also has a broken ankle and is out on a week-to-week basis, while defenceman Chris Breen is day-to-day with an abdominal strain.
Oh no… not BREEN TOO!
