Rene Bourque has been suspended for two games for checking Chicago Blackhawks defenceman Brent Seabrook from behind. He will forfeit US$36,036.04 in salary, which goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
Bourque will miss home games on Tuesday to Minnesota and Thursday versus Detroit. He will be eligible to return Friday at Vancouver.
