Kotalik on waivers, Connie’s countdown to retirement

28 Jan

Flames put underachieving winger Kotalik on waivers, shocker, Kotalik has three points, and is a minus-eight, in 20 appearances. FINALLY!

In other waiver news… “I’ll be honest. I’m leaning towards retirement,” Conroy said. “That’s where I’m headed.”

Glad to see Conroy got his 1,000th game. But I gotta say, why push him out now and not do the classy thing and let him finish the season as the 10th or 11th forward? I guess Feaster’Famine is starting to make room to bring in one or two players for the perpetual playoff push.

Zzzzzz, you are an idiot!!! I can’t believe you think Conroy was a good extra forward. They should have been saving that spot for Stajan!!! Conroy was actually good enough at times to be their second line centre after Morrisson. Old centres are the best. And what’s with Langkow … enough already, get them skates laced up and tough it out like Bobby Clarke would have. Speaking of Bobby, I wonder if Clarke is still in shape? He’d probably be a good No. 3 centre down the stretch.

Did you know that Langkow won the Bobby Clarke trophy in 1995? That’s as close as he’s getting to toughing it out, he is one media scrum away from announcing his retirement.
