Red Wings 2 – Flames 1

03 Nov

Hey Flames, good thing you’re now heading out on the road for most of the month – frankly, we’re glad to get rid of ya.

So here is how this worked, the Flames scored first. Again. Then they gave up a couple, again. But this time they just lost, instead of being embarrassed before losing. Maybe that is a step in the right direction.

But I’m trying to be more positive, so here it is. Kipper was great. Moss looked good in his first game back. Jokinen and Bouwmeester weren’t the worst players on the ice. All that… positive. The pessimist in me would have pointed out that the Flames went from third in the conference, to 11th in four games. But I’m not going to do that.

  1. Well, at least the flames have a decent trend:

    1. Blew a 4-0 lead (EDM)
    2. Blew a 3-0 lead (COL)
    3. Blew a 2-0 lead (WSH)
    4. Blew a 1-0 lead (DET).

At this rate maybe they’ll just start getting shut out?
