Flames lose Jokinen – is that a bad thing?

29 Sep

4-0. Yeah, I know it’s the preseason, but isn’t it kinda fun to remember what winning was like? Remember that? When the sentence that included the words ‘Calgary’ and ‘cup contender’ didn’t also include ‘will take a few years of rebuilding to become…’ or ‘is now far too old to be considered…’

The bad/good news is, Jokinen is injured. Looks like something in his back. The story of the game was (and continues to be) T.J. Brodie – who fired a puck through the side of the net to notch his 3rd of the preseason. That’s correct… the puck went through the side of the net, and now Brodie has the same amount of goals as $6.8M-man Jay Bowmeester did all last year. Wicked. It’s too bad he will be sent down to Abbottsford.
