Ales Kotalik scored the deciding goal in a shootout to give the Calgary Flames a 5-4 exhibition victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday night. Kotalik also had a goal and two assists, and rookie defenseman T.J. Brodie added a pair of power-play goals for the Flames (3-0). Craig Conroy also scored and Mark Giordano had three assists.
The day before the game the Flames sent a few folks over to Abbotsford, notably Bryan Cameron (RW), Hugo Carpentier (C), Kris Chucko (RW) and Mitch Wahl (C).
